Bob Gray is the creator of the popular Summer Savoury column which ran in the Charlottetown Guardian for years. This is the on-line descendant of that column, featuring descriptions of restaurants and dining areas on Prince Edward Island, Canada, which Bob recommends. It is designed to highlight good places, rather than critically review all places. If Bob doesn’t recommend a place, it won’t appear in this space.
Bob and his wife Earlene — who has the discriminating palate of the pair — spend the summers sampling Prince Edward Island eating establishments of all varieties, from food carts to upscale trendy dining spots, and report the ones they like right here. PEI has become foodie heaven, with some of the greatest cuisine on the continent (or just off, in this case!), and Summer Savoury is right there as new culinary wonderlands open up and old favourites maintain their appeal.
